Simonsig Estate, Stellenbosch

The secret behind the impeccable Simonsig portfolio lies with the strict vineyard practices and complete hands–on approach insisted upon by the Malan brothers to produce wines of outstanding quality with flamboyant fruit characters. All of their wines display such attributes with the single vineyard range deserving their recognition within the ‘World Class’ category. Today the Malan family can boast to have some of the Capes best positioned and oldest vineyards.

A Personal Note

“I have worked within the UK & Irish Wine Industry for almost twenty years. Never in that time have I come across such a diverse and world class range of wines created from a single company to rival those of Simonsig Estate. How can one family produce compelling dry whites, World class dry reds, dessert wines and the most globally respected range of traditional method sparkling outside of Champagne all from one small region called Stellenbosch on the Cape”. To do this under the same climate is nothing short of a winemaking miracle.

Robert Neill, January 2015
